I want to restrict access to my stream
My stream is private and I want only certain ubcam users to be able to see it. Furthermore I want to limit viewer access to only some IP addresses I will provide. Also security is important for me, so I want my stream to be encrypted, even if it will use more CPU on my client PC.

Broadcaster should handle several cams simultaneously
In case when several web-cams are connected to PC, broadcaster client should mix video from all sources into one stream (split screen). Or maybe it should have separate stream for each input source when broadcasting and recording.

Video Quality
We have to think about H.264 video codec as if companies buy this for
security - and they see a customer stealing 'can they use the footage in a
court of law?? - is it good enough'3 votes -

I need higher resolution for video strems
I understand that very fast internet connection will be required to increase video quality, but I am ready to invest in hardware and internet channel to be able to stream video with better resolution and frame rate.

Lost of network - should not stop local video recording
If net goes down video should continue to be saved locally if local recording is selected. This is required by all companies for Security Camera use case.

I does not fit into ubcam_broadcaster logic and software design.
To make the client work with optional internet connection, I will have to create separate application. -
Dedicated ubcam client for Security Cameras purpose
For security camera client I will create separate application with the following features:
1. It will handle multiple cameras at the same time.
2. It will work even without internet connection, and going online will be optional.
3. It will use separate encoding process for local record and internet broadcasting. That will allow to capture local video at higher resolution (640x480) and encode it with any codec which is accepted by video files, and still broadcast with FLV at 352x288 resolution.
4. It will probably have its own video files library viewer similar to ubcam_library. Since it will not store… more1 vote -
what a shop needs - security wise
I spoke with a supermarket owner and he said this is what he needs.
1. Record a Max 30 days - he said that he only ever needs 30 days if some customer was over charged in the store and they have received the 30 bank statement - so they can confer by reviewing the video footage.
2. Movable Camera - he said last week he broke 1 camera because he tried to move it, now he has to payd 300 to get a new one. So wireless cameras is a huge bonus.

Add text chat to the broadcasting client
It would be useful If broadcaster would be able to receive text messages from the viewers, and vise-verse.

Instead of using FLV streams you should use some other format
I do not like FLV stream, I want streams to be in open source Theora format. Or maybe some other options?
